These are the steps on how to replace the LCD screen on a laptop:

1. Remove the battery and all sources of power. Your methods may vary
2. You must remove the bevel, or picture frame-like protector of  the screen
3. Remove glued-on rubber bumper with a screwdriver. They protect the screen from the keyboard
4. After taking off the bumpers, remove the philips screws from the bevel. As you remove the screws, put them in a place where they won’t get lost. It would be bad if they did
5. Remove the bevel. Pry it loose as demonstrated and lift it off the hinges. This may take a while
6. Lift the bevel gently. And you have opened up your laptop. Congratulations!
7. If you can see the connector, remove the screw from it, and disconnect it on the other end. If it’s not apparent, you need to get to the back. In fact, you always have to get the back for some parts
8. There are 4-5 screws on each side of the led. remove them
9. You can now lift the LCD. Remove all tape, and be sure to know where it was. Now you can get to the wires on the back. Before you take the LCD out, remove all cables
10. In order to put the LCD screen on, you should just repeat the process in reverse order. The bumpers WILL go on if you don’t have glue.
